– How was the year 2021 for you, a pandemic year with many restrictions, in which the cultural field suffered a lot?

It was a good year for me, I had a few projects that I enjoyed, visual art / installation projects.

– What made you get involved in this project, a project that talks to people in Romania and Norway about living with HIV?

I was challenged by the subject of social art on HIV. I thought I might have an interesting idea for this topic and pass on something, perhaps, important.

– What inspired you in the development process of your creation?

I was very inspired by the interview with E., by his answers, and especially by the answer to the question “where were you right when you found out the diagnosis and how did you feel”. The work is a reproduction of that moment.

– What is the message that your work conveys to the public?

I would like the public to feel how strong and remarkable that moment of finding such a diagnosis is. I tried to capture the moment when E. found out the news according to him, on a gray chair, that’s why there is that chair in the installation. You can sit down. He makes the transition and the connection in time and in emotion. And then there are those words / messages written on the material, taken from the interview.
